What we do with your data
Briefly: we collect only what a quotation needs, we run no advertising or tracking tools, and we pass nothing on.

What we collect
Two things only, at particular moments.
When you fill in the quote form:
- Name, surname, e-mail, telephone and, if you give it, your postal address
- The boatyard, where there is one
- The boat: model, where she is kept and moored, where the cover will be patterned
- The work itself: type of cover, material, colour, constructional details
- The photographs you attach
When you visit the site, the network in front of it records technical data — IP address, browser, page requested — to keep the site running and to fend off abuse. We do not use it to recognise you or to build profiles.
Why we use it
To prepare the quotation you asked for, to talk to you about it, and to carry out the work if you give it to us. The photographs show us how the boat or the vehicle is made before we take measurements.
You get no advertising unless you ask for it. We do no profiling and take no automated decisions about you.
Who else sees it
The form does not pass through a third-party form service: it reaches a program of our own and from there our mailbox. Three suppliers are involved along that road, each for one thing.
- Cloudflare — network, security and delivery of the site, and the program that receives the form
- Resend — delivery of the e-mail carrying your request; the servers used are in Ireland
- Cloudinary — storage of the site's photographs and of the ones you attach
- Microsoft 365 — the [email protected] mailbox where the request lands
Some of these services may handle data outside Switzerland. None of them receives your data to use for its own purposes.
Beyond these, we pass data on only where the work requires it — to the boatyard you named, for instance — or where the law obliges us.
How long we keep it
Quote requests stay for as long as the matter needs them, and for the length of the relationship if you become a customer. Papers that become accounting records we keep for ten years, as the Code of Obligations requires.
If you want a request that came to nothing deleted sooner, just say so.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own, uses neither Google Analytics nor any other statistics or advertising tool, and follows nobody from site to site.
The only cookie you may meet is a technical one placed by the Cloudflare network to tell people from automated traffic. It keeps the site working and says nothing about you.
That is why there is no banner: there is nothing to agree to. Cookies can be blocked in your browser settings in any case.
Content served by others
Two parts of these pages come from outside, and to load them your browser tells those suppliers its IP address: the photographs (Cloudinary) and, at the foot of the home page and the work page, the latest Instagram posts (Meta). The typefaces are served from our own site, so loading them sends no request to anyone else.
The Instagram strip shows pictures, not social buttons: Meta learns neither who you are nor what you look at — though the images themselves do come from their servers.
Your rights
You may ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to our using it. Write to [email protected] — no form, no reason needed.
If you believe we are handling your data improperly you may turn to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Bern.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. The form travels encrypted as far as our own program, and the keys to the services we use are never in the site: they stay on the server.
